Choose cotton if breathability is your priority; choose a blend if you want lower maintenance.
What waist size should I pick if I'm between two sizes?
Size up. Our 100% cotton shorts shrink 2–3% on first wash and a further 1% over several months. If you measure a 32-inch waist, order a 33 or 34. Wash in cold water and hang dry to minimize shrinkage. If you tumble dry on low, expect closer to 3% loss. This is standard for untreated cotton; synthetic blends shrink less, but our cotton shorts are worth the sizing adjustment for summer comfort.
Will the green colour fade quickly, and how do I prevent it?
Green dyes in cotton fade gradually with sun exposure and washing—that's normal. To slow fading: wash in cold water (hot water opens the fibre and releases dye), turn shorts inside-out before washing, and skip direct sunlight for drying if possible. Air-dry in shade or use low tumble heat. After 10–15 washes, you'll notice a subtle shift in tone; this isn't a defect, it's how natural cotton dyes age.
