Our maroon cotton-polyester shirts occupy a practical middle ground—they're durable enough for regular rotation but breathe better than pure synthetics in India's heat. The blend runs roughly 65% cotton and 35% polyester, which means the fabric sits around 180 GSM: substantial enough to hold shape through multiple washes, light enough that you won't feel trapped in a Delhi summer or Mumbai monsoon window. Maroon works particularly well for office settings where you need colour without the formality of navy or black, and it layers cleanly under blazers or worn open over a basic tee. The polyester component resists wrinkles significantly more than pure cotton, so you'll spend less time ironing—a real advantage if you're commuting or traveling frequently. That said, the blend does absorb less moisture than 100% cotton, so if you run hot or live in high-humidity zones year-round, test the fit first. Machine wash in cool water and hang-dry to preserve the colour; tumble drying will degrade the maroon faster than air-drying.
